1. IBM® FileNet® Capture Professional captures, manages and distributes content.
2. Redact-It® for FileNet Capture redacts specified privacy content and checks for other instances in the document.
3. Redactions are reviewed by distributed team members, then finalized to TIFF or PDF.

Redaction, or the removal of sensitive or privacy information from documents, helps companies meet these increasingly stringent requirements for safeguarding information.
The only redaction solution for IBM FileNet Capture, Redact-It® automatically redacts documents as they enter the system using the OCR rules established by the administrator. Redact-It not only removes content under the redaction zone identified, it intelligently searches the document for other instances of that content. For example, if the identified redaction zone contains a Social Security number, Redact-It will automatically search for other instances. Redact-It can then create a draft view of the redacted document for distribution to dispersed team members for approval. Once approved, it creates a new TIFF or PDF version of the document and places it in the FileNet P8 or other repository. Once in the repository, user rights can control which document—-original or redacted—-a user can see.
